# Getting Started with Workspaces

## What is this feature?

A workspace is the primary space in Syncly Social where you manage analysis targets, members, Queries, dashboards, and reports together. Customers can use workspaces to separate teams and data.

## When should I use it?

* When you are getting started with Syncly Social for the first time
* When you want to separate analysis spaces by team or brand
* When you want to invite teammates to view the same analysis results
* When you need to manage workspace settings such as language and time zone

## Before you start

* You must be logged in.
* Creating a new workspace may require specific permissions.
* Viewing or regenerating invitation codes, removing members, and changing roles may require permissions beyond standard view access.

## How to use it

### 1. Create a workspace

1. Go to the workspace selection or management screen.
2. Select Create new workspace.
3. Enter a workspace name.
4. Select a time zone and language if needed.
5. Save your changes. The new workspace will appear on the workspace detail screen or in the workspace list.

### 2. View the workspace list

1. Open the workspace list screen.
2. Review the workspaces you belong to.
3. Select the workspace you want to use.

### 3. Invite members

1. Go to workspace settings or member management.
2. Check the invitation code.
3. Regenerate the invitation code if needed.
4. Invited users can join the workspace with that code.

### 4. Manage members and roles

1. Open the member list.
2. Review each member's name, email address, and current role.
3. If you have permission, you can change member roles or remove members from the workspace.

### 5. Change workspace settings

1. Go to the workspace settings screen.
2. Edit the settings that are available to change.
3. Save your changes and confirm that the updated settings have been applied.

## Check the results

* The new workspace appears in the workspace list.
* Invited or joined users appear in the member list.
* Workspace details are updated after settings are changed.

## Frequently asked questions

### My invitation code does not work.

The invitation code may be incorrect, or it may have been regenerated, which invalidates the previous code. Ask a workspace administrator for the latest invitation code.

### I cannot leave a workspace.

You may have an administrator role, or the workspace policy may restrict users from leaving on their own.

### I cannot change a member's role.

Changing roles may require administrator permissions, and you may not be able to change your own role directly.
