Explore Posts and Mark Noise

What is this feature?

Post exploration lets you search posts collected and analyzed by a Query under different conditions, then mark posts that should not be included in analysis as noise.

When should I use it?

  • When you want to review posts that match specific conditions
  • When you want to see the source posts behind analysis results
  • When you want to exclude irrelevant posts from analysis results
  • When you want to compare posts by theme, sentiment, or platform

Before you start

  • The Query must have collected posts.
  • Viewing posts requires Viewer permission or higher.
  • Marking noise may require Writer or Admin permission.

How to use it

1. Open the post list

  1. In Query Dashboard, open the Posts tab or the post gallery area.
  2. Review the list of posts that belong to the current Query.
  3. Select a post card to view detailed information.

2. Use filters

Post filters let you combine multiple conditions to narrow the list to the posts you need. Common filter examples:
  • Date range
  • Platform
  • Text/keywords
  • Hashtags
  • Author/creator
  • Sentiment
  • Theme/entity
  • Engagement metric range
  • Promotion or content structure conditions

3. Sort and move between pages

The list can be sorted by options provided in the product UI, such as newest first or engagement metrics.

4. View post details

  1. Select a post.
  2. Review displayed information such as source metadata, analysis fields, metrics, sentiment, and themes.
  3. If you entered from Query Dashboard, the Query context may be preserved when you move to the previous or next post.

5. Mark noise

  1. Select the post you want to exclude from analysis.
  2. Run the Mark noise action.
  3. After it is marked, the post is excluded from Query analysis results or displayed as noise.
  4. It may take some time for Dashboard results to refresh.

Check the results

  • You can see the post list and total count that match your filters.
  • After noise is marked, irrelevant posts are excluded from analysis results.
  • Dashboard metrics and charts may be updated.

Frequently asked questions

The numbers do not change right after I mark noise.

Result updates may be delayed depending on when the screen refreshes or when reanalysis or a new lookup runs.

How are multiple filter conditions applied?

Filter conditions are combined according to predefined rules. Customer documentation focuses on what each UI filter means and does not expose the internal filter_set structure.

Previous/next navigation in post details behaves unexpectedly.

If you entered from Query Dashboard, navigation is based on the current Query and filter context. If filters changed or a post was excluded, the exploration results may change.
